Colorado fiddler, fiddle teacher and fiddle contest organizer, Denice Carter, tells us this year's Colorado Fiddle Championships State Contest is the biggest and best yet, held once again in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show.
The Portland Old-time Music Gathering features old-time music jams, clogging workshops, square dances, fiddle contest and a featured perfomance by current Grand National Champion fiddler Alex Hargreaves and sister Tatiana Hargreaves, current Oregon State Junior-Junior Champion.
And, we've heard good things about the fiddle events in Arizona, California and Montana and the one up in British Columbia. Check out the one near you.
